Advances in Arsenic Research: Integration of Experimental and Observational Studies and Implications for Mitigation

P. O'Day, D. Vlassopoulos, X. Meng, and L. G. Benning, editors

Dr. Dimitri Vlassopoulos and colleagues from the University of California-Merced, the Stevens Institute of Technology, and the University of Leeds have edited a new book titled “Advances in Arsenic Research: Integration of Experimental and Observational Studies and Implications for Mitigation.” The book is an outgrowth of a successful internationally-attended symposium, co-sponsored by SSP&A, which was convened at the American Chemical Society Meeting in New York City in September 2003. The volume includes chapters covering recent results in a wide array of research areas from theoretical aspects; to occurrence, fate, and behavior in aquatic systems; to developments in treatment technologies. It is being published as part of the American Chemical Society Symposium Series.
