S.S. Papadopulos and Associates was established in 1979 to provide professional groundwater and hydrogeology consulting services.  With that cornerstone of expertise, we have continued to grow and have developed a recognized practice in contaminant studies, environmental engineering, remediation, geochemistry, and surface-water hydrology.

The measure of our success in the expanded environmental field is that, in addition to professional involvement in project investigations, SSP&A staff have been retained as negotiator and expert witness in high-profile judicial, administrative, and regulatory forums.  Several SSP&A staff have been appointed to prestigious federal committees investigating current issues in contamination and remediation and defining the role of the science in addressing the nation's environmental problems.
